It's the Torture Toaster! The guys at Edge of Tech challenged me to make a torture test that would be fun and interesting, and this ridiculous thing is where I ended up :) This will test your print tolerances, overhang handling, and most of all, your bed adhesion! No supports required, though! It's not as torturous as it sounds, though, and with a little perseverence you'll get it printed! :D

Just printed this on my new Bambu P1S. Unfortunately it printed with a raft somehow but after some cleaning up all but the .1mm slider worked perfectly. Even the 80deg overhangs look pretty clean. All this and the print only took 4.75hrs total.
A nice improvement on #3DBenchy. A real test. Thanks.
Haha just when I thought my 3D printer was perfectly tuned, this totally destroyed that theory 🤣
I just got a printer and tring it out now
Just found this from being listed on the Proforge 3D dual-hotend printer on Kickstarter (https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/proforge-3d-printer/proforge-3/). Wondering on the edge of possibility - could this actually be made into a functional toaster? Meaning, put in some sort of heat elements into the sides and perhaps the middle, and then some kind of print-in-place lever to push the toast up? I don’t know if you could do a “crumb tray” at the bottom though. A mortise in the bottom would be hard because of overhang problems.
Why is thangs starting to replace thingiverse for me? see example above....
Magnificent! 50% is a beast of a trial.
