After months of 3D printing Star Wars trinkets, Chris Pirillo finally found a need to have his own Maker Coin! After countless attempts, the best he could come up on his own was a flat circle.

Thus, he turned to his community and fixumdude took on the challenge with bravery (and ultimate fortitude through almost 14 billion rounds of edits). You should totally go and download all of fixumdude's 3D things - especially his awesome Star Wars model kits and flexi Grogu:

In the end, Chris couldn't easily decide which variant he liked most (though PirilloCoin-Empire-Hollow-Variant was a top choice) - so, he decided to release them all in the semi-not-quite-ultimate collection.

Obviously, Chris loves collecting Star Wars stuff (especially Darth Vader anything). This provided the foundation for the logo that was originally crafted by Kelly Ishikawa for @StarWarsRadar (on Twitter). This illustration was used as the basis for the coins.

Two "Empire" coins have the Imperial insignia on the tail side. Two "Silhouette" coins give the appearance of a Darth Vader (or Chris Pirillo in front of Darth Vader) on the tail side.

Pretend you had to chase them down and trade them with friends in order to complete the (first?!) series - just like we had to do in the '80s with stuff we loved.

This coin collection is much easier to appreciate in person, so stop reading about it and print your own already.

Join Chris and his community of 3D printing (and Star Wars) enthusiasts every night on Twitch at 6PM PT. He's usually "just chatting" and geeking out about whatever's on his radar tonight:
