Tactile Map for the Visually Impaired

As students return from summer break they begin to acquaint themselves with their new schools and as we all know it's difficult to find your way around a new school and find ones classes. I can only imagine the difficulty for those visual impaireds. This design is a 3-dimensional map for individuals who have difficulty seeing or cannot see.  I wanted to make a map of my College for students who are blind and would learn their way around the school. I also wrote in brail their corresponding building letter so they know which building is which.

I chose to make a map of my College for those who might need it to find their way around and are visually impaired.

Plant Watering Funnel

Not everyone has the space for a garden, I myself live in an apartment with few spots of open sunlight. If you're like me you might have a bunch of small plants in small pots and I've found that it's difficult to water them without poring on them directly which I have been told can hurt the plant. I've seen funnel-type tools for this, but since I have a 3d printer I thought why not make one myself. My design is origami-inspired which resembles compliant mechanisms around the internet. In addition, it can be folded to work as shade for plants. I have a very sensitive plant that dries up in the place where its at but I don't have another area with sunlight so i just use this tool to keeps it shady.

Gardening Plant Labels

I know for a fact that when people garden they have trouble knowing what plant is growing in what area. This tool is a simple but useful 3d printed plant labeler for this exact problem. Other 3d printed labels do exist, but the model almost always has the name printed on it. This means that you might not find a label with your exact plant name and once you're done with the label you won't be able to use it for different plants. This design solves these problems by being able to write the name of the plant on paper and sliding it in. You can also re-use the labels and just write new plant names.
