Upcycle your used up protein containers into garbage cans or use to collect miscellaneous small items! My initial thoughts were to use it as a vehicle trash bin. Have two sets of files, for 110 and 120mm lid sizes, not all protein containers have the same diameter lid, so make sure to measure.
Had some fun designing the mechanism, assembly instructions are provided in the images. For smoothest action, smooth any imperfections you find in the pivoting mechanism and apply some sort of lubricant. All you need to source is a medium sized rubber band, which everyone has in their junk drawer somewhere.
Standard print settings, .2 layer height, printed in pla or petg, and 15% infill
