Hello fellow makers and designers! I'm excited to present my latest creation: a desktop-sized connection tree sculpture! This intricate model is based on real American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC) beam profiles, carefully scaled and adapted for 3D printing. It's a fascinating exploration of structural design and a unique piece of art for any desk or shelf. Assembly: Connects using M2 screws for a secure build, imitating real bolted connections from real steel structures. Material: PLA Supports: The main beam does require some supports for the interior plates. The rest of the parts don't require supports. Optionals: The base I used is a laser cut acrylic square but you can also 3d print it. I personally think the acrylic looks better on this build.
