UCS-Style Pole Tips & Pole Guard PRINT IN 98A TPU OR HARDER USE ONLY FLEXIBLE MATERIALS TO AVOID DAMAGING POLE
**Description
Pole Tips**
These are a cheap alternative to the UCS-style pole vault pole tips. They are slightly thicker in diameter to increase their longevity. 98A TPU is ideal, but 95A can also work even if it is a bit soft for the application.
The .3mf files contain the filament settings for Ranki 98A TPU.
-
0.2 mm layer height is ideal for time.
-
Tips should be printed tip down with plenty of supports. I use tree hybrid supports with a 55 degree threshold
-
Fast travel speed without retraction will reduce stringing.
-
100% infill
Pole Guard
The guard should be printed face down to keep long, vertical lines to increase flexibility. PLA+ is preferred to keep weight low, but TPU may be used as well.
- 0.2 mm layer height
- Tape top and bottom of the guard to secure it to a pole.
- 100% infill
Pictured is a 12'-150 after one week of regular use in practice. The lines wearing and peeling from the bottom of the tip are the first layer.

DO NOT USE PETG OR SIMILAR MATERIAL AS IT IS PRONE TO SHATTERING ON FAILURE.**
