The new and improved Thumbwheel is ready for your 3D printing enjoyment!
Improvements made: rails easily align with foodpads using pins and recessed cavities. Just a couple drops of superglue here and there are all you need to assemble it. Plus, now there are three wheels you can choose from: flat, semi-round, and round. The end caps glue in place. Use a nail, a bamboo toothpick or any other rod for the axle.
Feel free to remix and make improvements or customize your own Thumbwheel.
Note: The Dollar Tree has the perfect size of double-sided foam tape to make foam grip on your Thumbwheel. I use two pieces tape on each side with a square of 220 grit sandpaper. It works great! Each toy costs less than a dollar in materials!
And they are fun! I am making 40 of them with my sixth grade computer science students in various colors.
