Introducing the Star Trek Captain's Chair Menorah! This menorah will make an excellent 3D print and gift for anyone who celebrates Hanukkah, Christmas, and any other special day. Or print it as a collector's piece.
I designed it to be used with self-contained LEDs that are sold in packs on Amazon and other websites. They are inexpensive and very easy to use.
Here's what you do: Print the Captain's chair, including the upper section, lower section, drawer, and magnet bracket (optional). Then use the magnets to attach the top to the bottom, or use glue. You can also opt to not use glue or magnets and it will still sit properly on the pedestal base.
Get a pack of lights (blue and white are perfect for Hanukkuh, but any colors are great for whichever holidays you enjoy).
I 3D printed the first one, and once I finish painting it, I'll throw a few dozen bulbs in the drawer and then I'm going to mail it to William Shatner. He told me he never had a captain's chair menorah, so I thought it would be a nice project.
Enjoy this piece. It's one of my favorite projects from this year, and I can't wait to see others print it and light it up!
This thing is fairly large. I placed reading glasses in the drawer for scale.
