This tree prints-in-place with a planetary gear on the bottom. When you hold the top of the pot and spin the bottom, the tree rotates at three times the speed in the opposite direction.
The tree is hollow, at 100% its only weighs 25g. I did dual colors with a manual filament swap at layer height.
Print Settings Print at 100% scale or between 130-150%, with a .4mm nozzle. Don’t scale in-between, if you print it larger than 150%. If you scale too much there could be too much clearance. Scaling it up will make it a easier print, at 100% there are thin walls, short extrusions lengths, minimal contact with the bed, but plenty of clearance. It’s important to have a good first layer height. I had to shorten my “minimum distance before retraction” to reduce the number of retractions on the first layer. No supports.
