This model prints in place as one part and doesn’t require any supports. It prints flat but folds into a picnic basket!

It was printed on the Muldex IDEX printer which you can find here: https://github.com/3dprintingworld/MULDEX Iit’s sized to also fit on a Prusa MK3 or a Ender 3. It’s a pretty easy print as long as your first layer is not too low and is nice and even.

Here is a quick video of it functioning https://youtu.be/auF3v6wgkjE

If you want to help out here is a affiliate link to the filament I used to make it. https://amzn.to/4ruHyiA

Here is a link to another basket I designed: https://thangs.com/3dprintingworld/Collapsible-Basket--23600

I printed this on my Prusa 3+ and it was my most trying print thus far. I tried with PETG but it clumped and crashed. I switched to PLA and readjusted the first layer to stick better and it worked. Mine said it recommended supports so that is what the bands are in the photo. They were easy to remove. It took a long time to print but I was glad I overcame the two crashed runs and got it to print. Loving the purple PLA.

Heads-up, for anyone looking to scale it down...it can't be scaled down much at all. At 75%, the wall slats are too close together, and in my case, they fused together during printing. Would love to see a version of this basket that is sized for the common 220mm printer that most of us entry-level folks have!
