My daughter and I made this simple reading guide together. She struggles a bit with reading and we decided to make this (without searching Thingiverse first, I know there are many others out there). I wanted to do this as a learning process to learn everything from measuring with a ruler to printing the final product.

First, we made a prototype with paper to test it out. Then she took some measurements and made a sketch before 3D modeling it in Tinkercad. We used Prusaslicer to prepare it for printing on the CR-10. It took a few iterations before landing on the final design, testing everything from different lengths to thicknesses. We ended up with two widths for the "reading window" to accommodate different line heights.

Later I remodeled it in Fusion 360 and added some user parameters to easily change the total width and the width of the opening. All in all a fun project to make a useful little thing.

One Death Star + Two Star Destroyers = One ugly bow tie! 

I needed something extra for Ugly Christmas Sweater Day at work and mashed these model together in Tinkercad. Worked out pretty well I think, at least for being made in just a few minutes! :D

There are two options: 
one simple with almost no need for support, but printed in two parts that you glue together. Print the simple flat bow tie and the clip. I used a few supports under the overhangs on the command bridge of the Star Destroyers.

Or you can print the Full version that also include the underside of the Star Destroyers and the clip all in one. But here you need a lot more support material. It takes a lot more time, but adds a little more volume and "oomph" to the bow tie.

UPDATE! Also check out the make by DanielJosvai for a smart way to slice the full version to avoid a lot of support material. Great print!

Death Star Destroyer Bow Tie

The holder that kept the wristband in place snapped and I made this little thing in Fusion 360. I didn't check Thingiverse first so I see now that there are couple of other versions of this thing already. I tried to make it as small as possible and uploaded two different versions – a 10mm wide as the original, and a slim 8mm version. I like the slim version best :)

Garmin Vivoactive HR strap keeper

My wife plays this dice game Bunco with some of her friends in the neighbourhood. I don't know much about this game but there are three tables involved - high, middle and low. Up until now, they've used simple folded paper sheets as the sign with the table name. So she asked if I could design something a bit fancier.

And the end-users are very happy! These three signs are now in the "Bunco kit" they pass around to whoever is hosting the party :)

I have the Ryobi 18V ONE+ Cordless Hand Vac (model CHV182M) in my workshop and also the Ryobi 18V ONE+ compressor.

So I got this idea to use the hose from the compressor on the vacuum. Then it's a bit easier to use the vacuum cleaner in hard to reach places. Look at the pictures to see what I mean.

Wanted to make it as simple as possible and printable without supports. Pretty happy with the result since I'm a beginner at Fusion 360. Nice learning project.

Just a quick little model of the Robux coin. I didn't find any other models here on Thingiverse of this new coin design in Roblox, so I made this quick design in Fusion 360. It's made from a SVG I found in the official Roblox developer resources.

Just a minor tweak on the very cool Artculated Slug by 8ran. I used Tinkercad to scale it up a little bit and add sockets for standard googly eyes. The ones I used are 6.5mm in diameter and it was a tight fit.

Everything is extra fun with googly eyes! :D
