It prints in place, without supports. When you have finished the print take the base off first and push onto the main model, this will give you a bit of stability before removing it from the bed.
Make sure you can see the strings down the centre in your print preview.
Is it possible to print this at reduced scale? I have the Ender 2 and this model is too large for the 165 x 165 plate width / height - I have to reduce it to 78% to fit but then the thin lines in the center don't show up in cura as if they will print (they are just shadows)
I am wondering if maybe this is because scaling the size to a bit smaller makes them too thin to print? Open to any suggestions :-)
Hi. It looks great but I have printed it 3 times, each time the strings break taking off the build plate. I am using Cura 5.1, layer height 3mm, 100% infill and polaroid white PLA. Would PETG be stronger? Any way to increase the thickness of strings?

May I ask if tthis would print ok with PLA please...
Yes absolutely, it is printed in PLA in the example prints
Strings are insanely delicate, only last a few uses if you can even get them off the build plate without breaking them.
I am sorry to hear this, this shouldn't be the case, can I ask what slicer you are using and what filament, hopefully we can improve this.
does the strings print properly in mid air?
Yes it prints as a continuous bridge
