This remix of the Spring Latch mechanism adds a keychain hook.
The bottom of the print is flat so it can easily be customized with inset text to label your keychains.
Customization
Choose between the loose spring or the stiff spring depending on how strong you want the latch hold to be.
If you want more distance between the wall and the latch, use the “Tall Post” versions of the springs.
.step files have been included so you can easily customize with your own text labels.
Printing
No supports required.
Print the spring with enough perimeters (shells) so that the arms of the spring are solid.
If you customize with inset text, switch your filament out mid-print to get the text to really pop!
Assembly
Use a small short screw to attach the spring to your wall. Make sure any hardware sits flush or nearly flush with the latch surface.
Strong double sided mounting tape can also work.
