I'm an absolute hardcore _Alien _fan, and I wanted to create something that incorporates my love for the franchise with some light effects that will look badass on a table.

This is The Ovomorph. It uses a Bambu Lab LED Kit, and this lit version comes in four different combinations:

An egg with or without a hole An egg with or without a Facehugger Please read the instructions before you print! 😊

Printing

Facehugger Versions: The Facehugger version has some tight overhangs on the legs, mainly inside the egg. You can print it without supports (I did), but you will end up with a few rough-looking areas below the Facehugger. However, once completed, you’ll never see those areas again since they are inside the egg and not visible from above. So it's up to you—I printed without supports, and it turned out great, but you can enable them if you want to be on the safe side.

Egg-Only Versions: You do not need supports for this version.

Lamp Diffuser: For the best effect, use a transparent or semi-transparent filament, which will allow you to experiment with different light colors. This part will need some supports in the center.

Assembly: Use double-sided tape to stick the Bambu Lab LED Lamp to the Lamp House (cut the tape as needed). Place the lamp inside with the cord facing the opening. Push the Lamp Diffuser inside the egg from below, ensuring the dome faces upwards to leave enough room for the lamp. Choose the direction you want the lamp to face and push the Lamp House inside the egg, aligning it with the small rails.

Multicolor: 3MF AMS files are available. Since this is a big print, make sure your settings are correct—this one generates lots of poop! 😆

Scale: Scaling up is not a problem, as the lamp will still fit. Scaling down will make the lamp house too small, so keep that in mind.

Tomorrow, I'll release clean versions of this model that can be used as a pencil holder, planter, or whatever else you want to make of it!
