Da Tul - GoPro Thumb Screw Wrench, Micro SD Card Holder, and Bottle Opener

3D printable version of GoPro's The Tool thumb screw wrench with the added benefit of holding an extra micro SD card

Background

Da Tul is a 3D printable version of The Tool, a product made by GoPro to tighten the thumbscrews used on GoPro mounts and accessories. I was able to add a compartment to the design to house an extra micro SD card - a feature that the original product doesn't have while still maintaining a similar form factor.

STLs

I've made 2 versions of Da Tul available:

Single Piece Version (1 STL) Da_Tul_wrench_single_piece Print Instructions

Print the parts face down without supports with the following settings:

Infill: 30% (or more) Layer Height: 0.15mm (or less) I used PLA, but PETG will hold up better longterm. These cost roughly $0.25 to print, so you can always print off another one when you need it.

The Latching Mechanism

Please review the end of the YouTube video (see below) for a demonstration on how to make revealing the SD card easier. You need to apply downward pressure towards the back of the piece so that it will release more easily.
