Huge bed with an inductive probe that's temperature sensitive?? No thanks!! BIGTREETECH's new EDDY sensor comes to the new Sovol SV08! Easy replacement for the original probe, but does require disassembly of the BTT Eddy probe to re-house the board; might be good to add a small heatsink onto the RP2040 chip as a result. CAD available here!
Recommended printed out of ABS/ASA for temperature resistance, print with the logo facing the bed, 3 walls, 0.1 layer height, with auto supports (for the lil dangly bit). You'll also need some teeny screws so [here's an affiliate link for a nice kit!] (https://amzn.to/4aSc7Hz). M1.7x4mm should work, and it's aways good to have more hardware on hand.

Where exactly does this get wired to on the toolhead
Do the probe offsets need to be changed for the eddy ?
Is anything else to change at the printer? Like software? Or is it plug and play? This will be the first mod I will do on my printer when it arrives :-)
The BTT Eddy cannot be utilized on the default Klipper that comes with the printer. Come to the discord, some dudes have gotten Klipper to the Mainline version, but know you need skills, and a 4 dollar st-link V2 to flash the klipper install on the toolhead.

For anyone reading this as of 10/16/24: I do not recommend this mount for the eddy, not without making modifications anyway. The Eddy will sit about 5-7mm higher than what the BTT instructions indicate to do.
OP, please review the BTT Eddy documents and readjust the sensor for the correct height. Per BTT docs:
4.1. Installation Height Install Eddy 2 to 3 mm above the nozzle to ensure optimal performance. If you encounter any errors during the calibration process, these may be related to Eddy'

Switched the SV08 to mainline klipper and installed the eddy USB. Followed the BTT instructions and all was good until I changed the printer.cfg. Then I get various [probe] section errors. Could someone share a working printer.cfg?
you still have probe listed in your save config area of the printer cfg. Remove it.

Hey, thanks for this wonderful fitting mount :) can you maybe share your cfg file ? :) i have issues to get the probe with the automatic z_offset (pressure probe) working .. :(
