TCG Munkey Card Scanner With Phone Tower
This Card Scanner is perfect for anyone looking to sort, organize and catalog their TCG cards. Designed primarily for Magic The Gathering, this should be usable with other card game apps as well. This version will support both sleeved and unsleeved cards. Mana Box is the best app to use to scan your cards with this, but other apps work as well. No supports needed and designed to be an all in one system for scanning.
For best results use a clear transparent or white filament as lighting is very important.

Did you upload remix with magnets? I see author gave permission.
Any chance you can upload the remix? The magnets make a ton of sense and likely easier storage too
I do not believe I am allowed to. I just checked and Ugly Munkey's license terms do not seem to allow for remixing. Truth be told, even posting this make may have unintentionally violated their licensing as it makes no reference to modifications. If they are willing to make the modification themselves, and post it as an option, that may be better.
As an aside, in case the creator sees this, please let me know if I need to delete this. I truly meant no harm.
Per the file creator's permission below, I would be crazy happy if you shared the remix! I do waaaaaaay too much card sorting at home and being able to make multiple bases and potentially a lid for safe transport just seems like a win to me.
I'd love UglyMunkey implement feedback and take a look at modifications like these. I want to grab 1-2 of these and start going through my (very large, very old, 99% unsorted) collection, but I'd LOVE to have a detachable tray like this.
I am fine with Brian posting the remix. I can change the licensing for the item. I still do not allow commercial access for the prints, but printing yourself go wild!
I think the magnets work for those interested in having it detach like that.
Is there a spec with the magnets?
Print came out fine, just the distance from the phone camera to the card is too far for the TCGplayer App to scan the card.
So I printed this out and the print itself was easy with no issue. I do think there are challenges with using it as a scanner. Specifically, for unsleeved cards it would be good to have an insert in the card receptacle as there is too much space leading to scanning challenges with ManaBox. Having the duality of sleeved vs unsleeved would be a nice feature.
Hey this looks great - what are the dimensions of the part. My print bed is only 120mm x 120mm wondering if I can print it in one.
hey, so I printed this but I'm having trouble with my phone scanning, I use the TCGplayer app, and my phone is a google pixel 7, it might just be an issue with my phone's camera setting but I can't seem to be able to scan any of my cards, do you guys have any suggestions as to how to adjust the settings or even on another app that I can use for my Pokémon cards??
thanks

Thank you! This is a neat tool.
It might benefit from a slit cut out from the bottom and up through one side. Brian's magnetic version might solve that issue though. I might try my hand at modeling a remix
