K-9, Doctor Who
This is K-9 of Doctor Who fame. I needed/wanted a K-9 for my Tom Baker costume, so here it is. I broke it apart into smaller pieces that could then be blown up and printed to create a 1:1 scale model of K-9. There are three rollers with axles with this model that you can use for K-9 to roll along. If you want to remotely drive him along, don't use these rollers and design a chassis to fit inside the bottom hollow to lift and move K-9 along. My one pic shows 50% to 100%. The others show the bottom in order of parts, the bottom with the remote chassis-to-be in place, the bottom without the chassis, and the bottom without a top, and a top. The other pictures are design pictures which show a whole version of the build. As is, it weighs 8 pounds 4 ounces; is 39" tail tip to nose tip, 20.7" high at the antennae, and 17" high mid-body. So it's basically knee-height which is pretty much how high as it was on the show, I think. My print was all in PLA, and it's now on to painting it and making the chassis work and K-9 roll.
