Do you practice yoga at home or have a studio in need of organizing with limited space? Ever had someone walk across your yoga mat like it's a door mat? Take advantage of this vertical organization solution to get the floor cleared and keep your precious practice sanctuary off the floor and properly stored.
Two designs are included, print 2 hooks for each mat you wish to hang. The angled design provides a few eyelets where you could potentially hang something from an S hook, like a small towel or headband.
Some basic diy knowledge and tools required. Simplified instructions provided below:
- Pick a wall you want to use and get an idea where you want the first mat to go.
- You can put a couple screws through the first hook, hold it up to the wall, and give it a light tap to mark your drill spots.
- Drill your holes and set your anchors for #8 (~M4) screws. Alternatively, drill a pilot hole directly into a stud to attach the hook with screws alone.
- After you get the first hook mounted, you can get a ruler or yard stick set a bubble level on it, then set one end of the ruler on the mounted hook with the other end resting on the unmounted one. Now if you can move the unmounted hook around without dropping the ruler and level, you can easily find the right distance and perfect height to mount the second hook. Just mark through the holes either by writing or with screws again.
- Use the included screw hole covers to get a more finished look. If they are too tight, scale down a tiny bit. If they are too loose, try either scaling up, adding fuzzy skin, or just use a dot of glue before you insert them.
Dimensions:
- Round: 172 x 180 x 20 mm (~7 x 7 x .8 in)
- Angled: 185 x 180 x 20 mm (~7 x 7 x .8 in)
Printed Weight: (PETG)
- Round: ~108g
- Angled: ~132g
Additional Items: Requires 4x #8/M4 screws per yoga mat you wish to hang up. Also requires drywall anchors, mounting in wood, or other means of securing it properly so you don't have a big mess on your hands later.
PRINTING:
- PRINT FROM PETG OR STRONGER, PLA TENDS TO CREEP (yields over time from continuous force)
- Clean your build plate! "Flat" models like this are more likely to shrink and peel up.
- Print with at least 6 bottom & top shell layers , 3-4 walls, 15-20% infill (keep in mind your "top & bottom layers" become the walls that hold all the weight so don't skimp here)
