Remembrance Turtle - Poppy Flower
Remembrance Day – The Poppy of Honor
As a symbol of remembrance, the poppy flower is worn.
It is more than a flower—it represents the lives lost in war, the courage of those who served, and the hope for peace.
The tradition began after World War I, inspired by the poem In Flanders Fields, where poppies grew among the graves of fallen soldiers. Over time, the poppy became a universal symbol of respect, sacrifice, and gratitude.
When we wear it, we remember not only the past but also those who continue to serve today. It’s a promise: We will never forget.
Lest we forget.
