This is a filament holder who keep the spool on the dryer bearing and prevent the filament to be stock because it get pull up and scrap your print. What happen is the roll get stock when he get pulled up and stuck in the dryer and the filament doesnt move anymore so your printer continue to print but filament going in the extruder.
