I started with Raw Umber for the undercoat (I always use a dark base first). Then I layered cobalt turquoise light and cobalt turquoise light hue, with rich and light gold for the highlights. The darker brown you see on the model is the Raw Umber showing through. My goal is always to give the piece a real antique, worn look. I always dry brush the highlights, and honestly, it’s all trial and error, haha, I wouldn’t call myself a master! I also like to mix paints to create different effects.
