Runestone Protector – Dragon Rune Light Box

Illuminate your space with the fierce presence of the Runestone Protector, a fantasy-themed light box featuring a deeply carved dragon encircling an ancient rune. I used copper wire fairy lights, which you can easily find on Amazon or eBay.

For the glowing effect, the blue background is printed with light blue filament, which reflects beautifully once illuminated from within the box.

The frame was printed in Bambu Ivory White PLA Matte, but feel free to experiment with different filament colors or finishes to match your desired aesthetic.

I painted the dragon in metallic gold for a striking highlight, and used dark brown for the outer frame and back of the box to create a rich, contrasting finish.

You'll need 14 magnets (5mm diameter x 2mm depth) to securely attach the back panel to the frame. No supports required — this model is designed to print in place.
