6.25 mm - Vertical Dual Snaps (DS Part A) - Medium Command Strip Mount
This is a "Medium" Command Strip Mount that works best with 3M Medium Picture Hanging Command Strips and creates a 6.25mm offset from the surface.
If your Tiles are smaller than a 6x6, then use the Small Command Strip Mounts.
This is a "Part A" piece and attaches to two Part B Snaps.

Was this part updated to have no recessed area in the back, and now just is flat? Or is there a problem with the file? I couldn't find any info on if this was a change, nor find what I've previously printed.
I have the same question. Was very confused when I printed these out and compared them to previous mounts I had printed. Seems like they were changed some point in the last year.
As with everything multiboard the system itself is great but the documentation/user friendliness whenever something is changed is really lacking.
Leaving this comment in case others are confused as I was when I compared the offset to other 6.25mm snaps and found it smaller than 6.25mm. Took me a few moments to figure out it is to take into account the thickness of the two velco strips that will attach to the back plate.
Hi. Thanks for sharing this. A question. To mount the Multiboard grids on a very thin door is 3M Dual Lock SJ3870 better than 3M Medium Picture Hanging Command Strips? Thanks in advance for your help.
Anyone having issues with the adhesion of command strips? The bridging always leaves a rough and occasionally ratty surface for me.
I just tried this with one of the quad snap mounts and got the same result. The bridge causes the layer that the strip is supposed to stick to to to consist of loose lines that aren't adhered to the layer below (or above, depending on how you look at it) or to each other. It results in not only much less surface area for the strip to stick to, but also causing the whole part and what it's holding to be supported by a layer of loose filament.
I sacrificed a mount as a test to see if I could improve the surface that the strip is supposed to stick to. I heated it up with a lighter and then tried to tamp it down with the but end of an exacto knife handle and fuse/flatten it against the underlying layer. But the whole thing was too thin and the plastic warped on the front side. Maybe it can be done with some kind of an iron.
