This is a replacement handle model for a straight razor. I love straight razors and have been collecting them for years. Nothing deters a thief, thug or a wannabe tough guy like an old dude with a straight razor, you’ll have to trust me on that one…

There is no single standard for measurement with a straight razor, so before printing I recommend you compare the measurements of your blade. Reference the photo with the red line, the distance from the center of the hole and the end of the blade needs to be relative so the handle will fit properly. If your blade is a different size, you will need to remix the design. You can change the distance between the bolt holes, the diameter of the bolt holes and the thickness of the outer surface if needed.

Also note the photo with the red circle. This is the blade stopper. If you remix the design you may need to adjust the length / height / thickness. You want the blade to rest inside the handle deep enough that the sharp edge isn’t exposed at the top or bottom.

All three handles in the photo are the SAME DESIGN. The black and grey handles are printed with no bottom layers so the infill is exposed. You can change the type and percentage of infill in your slicer settings, to customize the handles.

You will need to print the L and R handles, two haft inserts and one butt insert. Note the notch on the butt insert, it must face up and inward so the end of the blade rests on it.

Assembly is easy, a reference photo with an exploded view is provided. I use superglue activator and medium or high-viscosity cyanoacrylate – superglue.

I print all structural prints with 4 walls at 50% triangular infill at 10% moisture. A rigid filament is recommended, such as PLA+, CF PLA etc. Cheap PLA doesn't work well. If that's all you have, add an extra wall line for increased rigidity.
