Cute Flexi Unicorn

Cute Flexi Unicorn featuring new experimental articulated joints and 3d printed material for the wings - 100% 3d printed with no glue, supports or brim required.

Easy to print if following the provided profiles, should all be set for you to go with just a few following recommendations…

Firstly if printing in multiple colours silk should only be used if desired on colours two, three and four. The first colour (originally painted white by me) ideally should be regular pla or plus for the joins to remain strong, so avoid any brittle filaments such as silk or glitter.

Second and most obvious is adhesion, for such a long print when using the ams, do everything possible to avoid failures, I myself had zero issues and failures so hopefully you too have a smooth print also.

This unicorn features ball joint sockets for the wings and legs, to be clipped into place using minor force - there are leg extensions provided, however i disliked the end look and decided to not use them however they are here for you if you choose to use them.

The articulated joint works like any other flexi toy, however feature an inner socket that can be used to clip into position using force allowing the model to maintain poses and be positioned in many ways. It's purely experimental and hope people have the same success with it that i did, it's rather tough at first but eases up after a few uses.

Please inform me as to how you find this new design.

Other then whats stated above, use standard 0.42 walls, no supports or brim, I myself printed at standard 200 outer walls without an problems but follow your filaments instructions for a finer print. If printing the ams variant, its recommended to fill the plate with spares as it will barely increase total print time.

And lastly I tested in various sizes and filaments and had no issues scaling the model up or down so if you want a faster print it should be no trouble to make the model slightly smaller.

If printing via stl download, requires 1 wing @ 1 mirrored wing, it's okay to trim the ball socket slightly if you feel the filament you have selected is too fragile.

Currently I have models available on other sites with a commercial licence only available with a Patreon subscription.

Any questions please ask and enjoy.

I'm having trouble getting the pieces snapped together. Any advice? Or maybe an assembly video clip?

Just a thought, maybe sandpaper it a teeny tiny bit.. you know the balls-part that goes into the joints
