UFO Abduction Table Lamp
Hey everyone! 👋
This is a brand-new model — a little experiment of mine. I haven’t posted any lamps before, so I wanted to try something different this time.
The UFO Lamp — a super easy-to-print design made of just three parts. You’ll only need two simple accessories to complete it:
A standard E14 bulb socket (no special filament code required — here’s an example of the type you need; it’s available almost everywhere in Europe, the US, and Latin America, and costs very little). https://www.amazon.com/MECCANIXITY-Socket-External-Thread-Pendant/dp/B0BFPY5WBP A cord, or a cord with a switch. https://www.amazon.de/-/en/Cable-Switch-Connection-Power-Supply/dp/B0DK926BGY/
Those are just examples, i didn't test them, i bought mine in a nearby electric shop.
No soldering required — simply insert the cord, screw the socket into the base, and place the shade on top. That’s it!
I printed mine using Bambu Lab’s teal transparent PETG, but any filament that lets a bit of light through will work beautifully.
Supports are only needed for the flying-saucer top, and I recommend using tree supports for the critical regions. Everything else prints cleanly without supports, and they remove easily afterward.
Enjoy the build and have fun experimenting with colors and light! 🚀💡
