There is a 5x5 stackable gridfinity base plate on MakerWorld (by user Jufy111) that helps with this. If you print some tall gridfinity bins to keep things stable / lined up, you can stack those baseplates to make a multi-layered dungeon.
glad you like it!
glad you like it!
Would love to see this with different wall types for genres outside of medieval fantasy. Western, noir, modern, all of those would be super useful.
that's a great idea
These are really cool. I would love to see even more variations on this idea. For example, what about stairs for supporting multi-level setups? Diagonal and curved walls that cut across the base tile? Runes, arcane symbols, etc on the floor tiles.
That's a great idea and something I would like to explore. I don't have an FDM printer anymore though and don't want to release something without test prints. Sorry about that. Maybe in the future though
I wouls happily do test prints for you.
I appreciate it! I'll keep you posted. Thanks!
I just sent you a message via tiktok, so you can reach me there if you want to pursue this.
Did anything come of this?
I'm going to pick this project back up this year. Stay tuned
While we are waiting, would you be willing to post some kind of mini-tutorial for how you made these? I've tried slicing & dicing the models you have here to accomplishing things like angled doors, walls, stairs, etc, but my CAD skills are pretty lacking...
I'll probably do a video modeling the next portion of these. I do have longer form cad tutorials on my youtube channel too
I cannot wait to see what you come up with!!!
I have remixed some of your tiles but I can't figure out how to post theme any advice.
Sweet! There's an arrow icon at the top of the page. You click that and go through the upload process
I had to link to your grimdark set cuz this model isn't remixable
jeez, I thought I checked that off. thanks for the heads up
thank you for updating this model to be remixable I just updated mine to link to this model.
no problem!
I've remixed your original wall tile to add one with an arrow slit facing out from the tile. Will be adding more variations as I need them!
Love the size of the tiles! I'm using them as 5' x 5' squares with 28mm minis, making for a less cramped but HUGE dungeon! Perfect for Cons and big events! Really going to make an impact with these!
Thank you so much for expanding the project and I'm glad it's working out well for you!
Hello, I see there's no license attached to the models. Do you have any restrictions for selling prints of this model?
No restriction on any of my stuff
Has anyone tried to scale this down? 60% would put it right around 25mm which is the DnD standard grid size. Then could fit a 60% 8x8 gridfinity frame on a 220mm build plate.
Would save a lot of time and filament, but not sure if if mini's would fit, or if it would be strong enough at that size.
60% was too small. I found 70% a better fit for minis, but the base may be a bit fragile. I printed a test 1x2 base and it curled a bit on the edges. I'm going to print a larger one and see if it's more sturdy. Note I printed a regular Gridfinity Lite base.
