The Mistfae are delicate little creatures of the mistweave that are a type of mushroom fairy. Their role in the ecosystem is vital. You see, the mistweave is a land covered in a perpetual magical mist energy that manifests itself in all kinds of weird ways. Nothing is as it seems, everything seeming to deceive, nothing to be trusted, ever. The mist itself seems to bend perception. And when beings consume this energy and use its magic in all kinds of ways it is turned rancid and unusable. and that's where the mistfae come in. They thrive on rancid mist magic sucking it in through the holes in the side of their head and breath out new useable mist that keeps the land thriving.
