I am proud and excited to present my latest model: the USS Fletcher DD-445. I hope this model will give you much fun with printing and assembling! You can bring a piece of world war 2 history to life!

The USS Fletcher was the lead ship of the Fletcher-class destroyers, a pivotal class of warships used by the United States Navy during World War II. Commissioned in 1942, she played a crucial role in the Pacific theater, participating in numerous battles, including the Solomon Islands campaign. With her speed, firepower, and advanced design, the Fletcher-class became the most produced destroyer class in U.S. history, setting the standard for future naval warfare.

This model is fully 3D-printable, regardless of your printer size. If you have a smaller print bed, you may need to divide the hull sections differently. The model is designed at a 1:150 scale, measuring 77 cm (30 inches) in length, and includes a printable stand for display.

I printed all parts on a Creality K2 Plus using the multi-color printing option, but you can also paint the model afterward for a customized finish.

For assembly, I recommend using standard all-purpose glue or super glue. My approach was to first glue the upper hull sections together, then the lower hull sections, and finally combine them while fitting the model onto the stand. The railing is printed as part of the hull, so it's crucial to print at a slower speed to preserve fine details.
