You can scale the model as you wish but we can’t guarantee that at a much smaller size the model will print well.

PRINTER SETTINGS

• layer height 0.15 mm
• infill 15%
• supports 45 degrees

For parts that are tall but have a small base, we use a 10 mm brim for better bed adhesion.

The tentacle segments should be printed approx 1000 times. Then string the beads on a piece of wire to attach them to the body. We used 1.5mm thick copper wires.

The stand can hide a battery to power LED lights to light up the Sentinel’s eyes. It can stand without the stand if you pose the tentacles accordingly.

We printed the red parts from red transparent resin. For the smallest ones we dabbed a bead of glue instead of gluing the printed eyes, because it was easier. Assembly and painting took us about 10 hours. We printed them on an SLA printer.

We try to make the models in a way that uses as little support material as possible. This model is meant to be post-processed after printing. This can be glueing, sanding, painting, etc.
