Model originally uploaded to Thingiverse at https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4410485.

From an old HP/Compaq computer, I rescued a card-reader normally mounted in a 2.5" drive bay.

I designed a case for it that uses the original screws to hold it in.

The back is completely closed and the cable, which has a 2x5 JTAG Header connector, is passed through a hole, which is plugged by a strain relief.

To connect the unit to a computer, a cable with 2 USB plugs, and 10-pin header connector on the other end of the cable is required, but I could only find those for USB 3, and the pin layout is too different for it to be used.

I found these on AliExpress: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/USB-2-0-Type-A-Male-to-5-Pin-Female-Header-Motherboard-Adapter-Cable-50cm/4000510855924.html

As this is a single connection, you'll need 2 of these.

To connect the three cables to each other, you will need these; https://www.aliexpress.com/item/33002590998.html (You'll need 1 set of these) Well actually, you only need 9 pins, but you probably have to buy all 400 :P (but if you find a smaller amount, or a friend who can spare 9 pins ...) Just make sure they have 6mm of metal on both sides. If one side is shorter, it is for soldering to a PCB, and these will not make a good connection.

For v2 of the strain relief, you will need 2 M3x6 screws. If you have only longer screws, use washers; the screws should not protrude more than 1 mm.

A tie-wrap is used to prevent the cable from being pulled out.

I do not yet have an elegant solution to prevent the cable from accidentally disconnecting the connectors, will add that when I find one.
