Can you make 2 small improvements?
1. Reenforce barrel rotation section of the body where barrel connects to it (it snaps)
2. Make barrel lip a bit longer - it pops.
FYI: I have uploaded two alternative barrel designs which I hope will address this post breaking issue. These two new barrels have slightly larger holes for the pivot points. The original design has 6.0mm holes, the two new ones have 6.2mm and 6.4mm holes. They are indicated as 062 and 064 respectively. Please try them if you have had this issue, and please let me know if it helps.
Do you have a sense of what casued the break? Are the holes in the barrel too tight and causing them to bind on the posts? If that is the case I can post a new barrel with larger holes. Please let me know.
Not sure what I am doing wrong but when I try to cock it the pins that the barrel rotates on break off. I have tried a petg spring and a pla spring, but both are so stiff that the pins fail first.

Please note my print setting recommendations, you definitely need four walls, and if that is still not doing it for you try 100% infill. It will not require much additional filament to do 100% infill but with that said it should not be necessary if you use 4 walls and 40% cubic infill. Please let me know if that fixes the issue. Thank you.

Hi, thanks for the feedback. Are you using my recommended settings of 4 walls and 40% infill? If you are then perhaps try 100% infill. Please let me know if that resolves the issue.
It is designed to be oversized by about 0.4mm so that it is slightly compressed when in the housing. So compress it slightly and it will fit in. By having it slightly compressed in the housing, I was able to get more power to the projectile.

This is amazing and has me down a rabbit hole on a search for printables to use as targets to shoot!
Haha. Nice.
Pretty cool build. My bullets seem too small and are falling right through the barrel when loading. Do you think I am printing something wrong?
I size up bullets by 5% to accommodate and its working.
Oh, I have not heard that issue before. You might be under extruding slightly.
Whats the range?
It will fire about 10 meters with an arc. A few meters is good but after that it is dropping quickly.
Thanks!
the part the barrel clips in to those two peices just broke off
FYI: I have revised the two sides now also which will increase their strength a little bit. Those two new sides are version 1v00c.

Your work is pure gold!

it was already 4 walls and 100%

On first print, both pegs holding the barrel into the case broke when cocking it the first time.
Printed case again and was able to get off one (very powerful!!) shot before both pegs broke off again when cocking it the second time.
Probably not worth saving the 0.0001g of filament to make the pegs hollow. Going to try filling them in and printing again to see if it helps.
Printed with polyterra matte white PLA

Love this! Fun new spin on handheld launchers :)
The spring won't fit in the housing. I printed it 3 times and still no go. 1st print I have a fit issue like this with. Printed on an Bambu A1
It is designed to be oversized by about 0.4mm so that it is slightly compressed when in the housing. So compress it slightly and it will fit in. By having it slightly compressed in the housing, I was able to get more power to the projectile.
If I remember right, there are support pieces you need to remove from the spring before it'll move properly/fit in the housing.
Yes, definitely need to remove the spring support. Good point/reminder. Thank you.
Loved it !
very cool!
Do you have an assembly vid?
Yes, it is included in the second half of this video... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ndj4z7kYysk&t=162s and also there is a short here... https://www.youtube.com/shorts/cJqkPDFmz68
Sorry if i missed this question and answer, are we able to personalize the name on the side of it?
