Toothbrush holder V1-V4

This is the short story about my toothbrush holder design over the past few years and how it evolved

V1

Published August 2020

One of my first designs for 3d-printing. I always had issues with keeping the glas clean that i stored my toothbrush in. Even the dishwasher could not get the bottom really clean. I designed this simple bottomless holder to combat this issue. By just not having a bottom that could get dirty, you would just wipe the surface below in your regular cleaning cycle.

V2

Published December 2020

After a few month of usage i disliked my V1 solution. I worked but was quite unergonomical to handle. The V2 has a bottom that you can unscrew. This way you can easily get to bottom while cleaning.

V3

The V2 worked pretty well - but a few things were bothering me. The diameter was too thick and there was no grip. When you had wet hands, picking up the holder was inconvenient. In addition, the screw-height was a bit too low - so in case there was a lot of drip water inside - it might have spilled through the thread. The V3 solves all of these issues and is already somewhat starting the "bubbles" theme that will follow soon.

V4

This is the facelift and series integration of the V3. Combined with the two other bathroom "bubbles" designs - i had to give the toothbrush holder a place in the series, too.

V4 multi color

With my newly aquired multi color capabilites i just had to give the bubbles series a fresh new look. The designs is the same but now just looks 10x cooler!

I try to monitor all my designs for potential improvements and keep my catalog up to date with new learnings or new developments.
