Mushroom shelf “Pleurotus Eryngii": Download here!
Pleurotus Eryngii is an edible mushroom that is used frequently in different European cuisines. You can get them in supermarkets so the hunt for this one was kind of easy. The shape is a very classical mushroom body, that is sometimes a little thicker in the middle. Depending on the stage of their growth they open quite flat which makes them shelf-able.
Unfortunately, some parts broke off on the way home, but I glued them back together with mayonnaise, so I was still able to eat them later. I modified them slightly to optimize their printability and changed them to fit together in their overall appearance. I have gotten quite well versed in mushroom scan cleaning so this has become somewhat of a routine where I can listen to podcasts while doing it. I might use them later for other upcoming projects.
As usual the shelf prints easily with no support. I flattened some spots in the back for better bridging, but those are not visible when the thing is on the wall. There are two versions included in the usual sized. One with 3 and one with 4 mushrooms. I could not decide which one I liked better so you get both and can decide for yourself.
Have fun printing!
