Carpinus Betulus
Dear member,
This is the first offspring of my recently acquired bigger 3d scanning capabilities. As a huge tree fan – there are a few species that I like the most. “Carpinus Betulus” is high up the list. Due to the very intricate and detailed trunk shapes you can find a lot of variation and surprising growth within their kind.
I found this neat one late in the evening when scanning is the easiest. When you can barely see anything, the scanner works best. The scan came out very clean and I managed to reach up about 3 meters of the trunk – as far as my hands plus scanner range could reach. The scan came out particularly well detailed compared to others and I therefore wanted to show the whole thing.
What came to my mind was a Vase for a single or very few flowers. Maybe you found a particularly nice one in your garden or want to maybe gift a single rose to someone special.
The trunk was slightly tilted and to preserve this feature I added a little base to prevent it from tipping over when used.
The print is rather simple as usual, no supports but pay attention to all settings that might influence the water tightness of the outcome!
This is a membership exclusive to express my gratitude towards everyone who is willing to support my work. Thanks a lot, and I hope that you like this one!
Have fun printing!
