We didn’t realize just how many fish lovers we had in our community — but we heard your requests for a Koi Fish, and here it is!

There are so many beautiful varieties of Koi fish out there, so we had to settle on one design — and we think it came out super cute! This release includes a couple of paint variants, but one of the coolest parts is the Paint Your Own tutorial.

If you’ve ever wanted to do symmetrical painting in your slicer but weren’t sure how to do it, we’ve got you covered! Our video will walk you through the tips and tricks you need to create clean, symmetrical paint jobs on your models.

We’ve also included a Paint Your Own 3MF file for anyone who wants to create their own symmetrical Koi Fish design. The best part? This tutorial can also be used with other STL files, helping you create evenly painted sections on all kinds of models.

This model was printed on both our Snapmaker U1 and Bambu printers, so we made sure to include 3MF files for both OrcaSlicer and Bambu Studio.

Coloring

The koi has been mostly colored using the paint tools in the slicer. This gives you ultimate creative power over the model color variants!

The eyes are colored by objects from the side menu.

NOTE: Make sure you have manual tree supports enabled and that you paint the last section of the body before the tail. See video for instructions.

Our 3mf files come with these settings already established for you.
