This adapter is specifically to mount the Nimble V2 on the very smart PCB effector that Escher3D is developing with Think3dPrint3d. It uses a hot end mount that is developed by E3D. Have a look at the effector [here.] (https://duet3d.com/wiki/Smart_effector_and_carriage_adapters_for_delta_printer)
In regards to the nut used to mount the hot end to the Smart Effector. There are two sizes of nuts used, unfortunately. 19 mm Across the Flats (AF) and 17 AF. Pick the right one. Simply bolt the adapter to the hot end mount and bolt the Nimble to the adapter.
In case your printer is in pieces, or you want perfect precision, you can also get this adapter via Shapeways.
Changelog:
- 1 Initial release
- 2 Changed the mount slightly (cleaning up a mistake) and added mount for larger 19AF nut
- 3 Modified the fan mount and duct a lot. There was a chance of hitting an arm in some positions, so now the fan mount is flatter and avoids that issue.
- 4 Deleted all the fan duct options and added a completely new system.
- 5 There was a mistake in the mount, two columns had 2,9 mm holes instead of 3,5. Fixed now. Thanks, Hergonoway.
There is a Fan Base, this mounts to the smart effector. Depending on which fan you use, the 5015 or the 4020 radial fans, you use that Fan Frame, to mount the fan on the Fan Frame. The relevant duct is attached at the same time. The Fan Base has slots to allow for duct height adjustment. It has enough adjustment to handle the height difference between a V6 standard hot end and a Volcano.
The Nimble V2 ExtruderWith an installed weight of less than 26 grams on your carriage/effector the Zesty Nimble V2 is smallest and lightest extruder you can buy, it has ample torque and can be mounted in multiple orientations.
The Nimble is available from Zesty Technology.
