This version of the horns wasn't meant to be show accurate, but more built to my girlfriend's suggestions/requirements. I do plan on modeling a more movie-accurate version in the near future. This model does need support, but the provided orientation minimizes them.
Printing Info: These are just the settings I used to test the model, feel free to use whatever settings work best for you.
- FDM or Resin: FDM, or large format resin.
- Scaling: Current size is 70 x 65 x 109. They are relatively small at this size, I scaled them up to 150% when printing them for use.
- Supports: Supports needed. If you keep the model at the orientation that they are already in you should only need supports on the bottom, but not the rest of the way up the model.
- Infill/Perimeters: I used 10% with 2 perimeters and they were nice and strong.
- Nozzle Size: 0.4
- Layer Height: I used 0.24 and they look great.
Printing & Assembly
- Assembly Video (Tik Tok): https://www.tiktok.com/@thinair3d/video/7025364613201972485?lang=en&is_copy_url=0&is_from_webapp=v1&sender_device=pc&sender_web_id=6991707284457211398
- Print Orientation: The horns are oriented in a way that should only need supports at the base, but shouldn't need it the rest of the way up the horn. I have included a photo of what it looks like in my slicer prior to printing!
- I used hot glue to attach it to a 1.5" headband, and some 18 gauge black wire wrapped around the built-in notches to make sure it stayed in place.
