Painting Minis Together at Shielded Grounds in Monroe, WA

We had tons of fun hanging out and painting minis with everyone at Shielded Grounds yesterday! We met the owners of Shielded Grounds, Brit and Matt, at our last vending event, Oddmall Emporium of the Weird, and they graciously offered us to use their space for a popup painting event.

IMG_20240519_150722_590.jpgThey took such great care of us! They made us coffee immediately upon arrival and they had brought donuts, so we were off to a great start.

Pretty soon, people began arriving. We had pre-selected about 20 different sculpts that they could choose from that day. For $10, each painter got to choose the 2 miniatures that they wanted to paint. Then they picked up their brushes and water cups, chose their color palettes, and sat down to begin painting their minis.

IMG_20240519_150722_652.jpgThere were a few groups of friends who arrived together to spend an afternoon painting minis. Some folks ordered coffee, some folks met new friends, some folks talked about their favorite tabletop games, and some folks browsed and purchased from the extensive collection of games offered by the host.

Below are some of the miniatures that our attendees painted. We were blown away by everyone's talent!

As a final note, we want to give a huge, huge thanks to Brit and Matt, the owners of Shielded Grounds. They were fabulous hosts and we are looking forward to having another paint night with them in the near future.

Shielded Grounds buys/sells/trades board games, so make sure you visit them if you're in the market. They also have tons of events like game nights, karaoke events, garage sales, and so much more. We just can't say enough great things about them!
