Spin Ball

There are 2 versions, one with only printed parts and one uses regular skateboard bearings.

All Printed Version: You need: 8 Gears 1 Heart 8 Connectors

You can just print the All file.

Print settings: no supports needed. Just print with a standard profile. I used a brim for better bed adhesion.

Assembly: Push the connectors into the heart and then put the gears on top.

Bearing Version: You need: 8 Gears 1 Heart 8 Regular skateboard bearings like these: https://shorturl.at/Z0V1T

Since this version is very tolerance-dependent, I provided many different versions. Start with the 8mm and 22mm version and if that does not fit, go bigger or smaller. Make sure to use the actual filament for the test.

Print settings: Use supports for the gears. The heart does not need supports but maybe a brim.

Assembly: Push the Bearings in the heart and then the gears into the remaining hole of the bearings.

Leave a like if you can :D

I have printed that in Amolen silk PLA, lubricated with dry PTFE (teflon lubricant) and it spins like with bearings, super! Thank you. Looking forward for more geared things. I have PRUSA MK4 and I used input shaper structural profile 0.2mm

Great :D!

Do you have a video for this?

Added one. I always upload the thing before the video so that the thing is findable.

I love them so much, they are so mind-blowing, I want to design your products and give them to my relatives and friends, I have subscribed to the $25/month Craftsman's Retail License. Can I sell them on top of other platforms, of course, I will credit them as your masterpiece and help you promote them.

Printed in silk PLA and was very stiff but worked MUCH better after I treated with olive oil and q-tip. Some of my connectors broke during assembly though, will re-print those in regular PLA I guess. But after all that, a very nice design!

The non-bearing version after being printed does not spin like in the video it is very hard to spin. Almost impossible. is there something special you did to yours to make it spin like it does.

I have the same problem. Mines does not spin at all I have to force it and it hurts my fingers. Love the files he has but having a few problems with the skull also and another file. Determined to get this right.

Hey, that may be due to different tolerances. You could try to scale the pins or the Gears whatever you think causes the issue.

Do they only "spin" with the skateboard bearings and just "turn" with the plastic. I have printed it all and it is quite stiff. Any suggestions.

TBH. The bearings are overkill. I don't know what stiff your is. does it spin like in the video?
