I love your system. Have you already thought about designing a handle? So that, for example, one could put together a modular screw case. Best regards, Elvis.
Hello. I have been having fun printing out the Cargo Containers for my hobby hardware. Is there an option not to have them interconnect to each other but still use the rail mounting system?
This is exactly what I would like as well. No need top lock them all together if they are on the rails. I tried sending an email and it got bounced back so I dont know if we will ever get the answers. May just recreate them without the interlocking sides.
Hey Brian/Jimmy, great to hear you've been making good use of them - currently the best way is to simply slide them on to the Rails without interconnecting them. If you need them to slide between each other, try using the Spacer tiles so there's a gap between them.
An idea to solve this: make narrow tiles similar to the Frames that can connect two rows but space them just enough to be able to slide the rows independently.
good job with the design.
I think you have overengineered a bit, the whole system seems a bit wasteful filament wise, the 1x1 crates in particular, lots of wasted space, you can definetly do better.
the relays are just so wasteful and not exacly necesary.
Thanks, we've tried to optimise the design to balance strength and features - you can always try less infill (we generally test with 2 walls and 15% infill)
Gostei muito de todos os modelos dos Containers, mas eu gostaria de imprimir o que tem a frente removível, mas não estou achando. Como faço para achar?
Yeah I agree they're fantastic but don't really need the rails on the back cuz I'm going to be screwing the whole system directly to the wall
A design that cut off that back section and just made it flat with the air release perhaps vent to the sides or up or down would probably save a lot of time in filament over many prints

Hey Maiko, just to double check, are you talking about the Cases (which connect together) or the Containers?
If it's the Cases, it generally depends on your printer, filament and bed adhesion. Any warping or misaligned layer lines can affect the fit (tight tolerances are necessary for everything to work). The same goes for the Containers inside the Cases, unless they get accidentally stuck, they should slide pretty smoothly.
Hey! There are currently 1x1, 2x1 and 3x1 Cargo Containers available to download, but all these sizes are modular with each other, so you can make any shape or size system you want, like in the photos.
Discussions — Cargo Containers - 2x1 (Medium Modular Storage)
Any chance of developing a container set that is twice as deep? I’m really liking these, but would like some deeper containers for bolts and such.
I would love to have a 2x2 or 3x2 Container _ LOVE YOUR DESIGNS!!
Thanks!

awesome work but the rail system leaves me wanting. any chance of a multiboard and hsw variants?

nobody ever just prints 1 or 2, would love to see some lighter weight stuff that could be printed in larger modules like a 4x4 holder. 6x6 or w/e.

The wider boxes (e.g. 2x2 and 1x3) Could use a wider pullout twice the size of the regular ones. With the current setup they pull out uneven often
Is there a way to have files ready for P2S for this cargos system articles?

Does anyone know the internal dimensions if these? Need the height, width and depth.
I love your Container Design but the Rails are overkill in my opinion. To thick and therefore to much material and to long print times.
Would be so nice to have just Multiboard Adapter for the Containers.

Unfortunately, you won't get an answer here. Not on Facebook Messenger either. What a shame.
Hey, we try to reply when we can, we're very busy on new updates!
The containers are a bit too narrow, so that you can only connect them with a lot of force, or is there a solution for this?

What thickness acrylic is needed please?
Hey, we used 2mm thick acrylic for the transparent windows. All the details are in the ‘User Guide’ included with the download.
In one of the photos there is a larger square version, is that one available for download?
