DS Snaps - Grip Removal Tool

This model is restricted by licensing terms.

Use the “Grip Removal Tool” to separate any Double Sided Snaps (Part A’s and B’s). The tool is made to be extra tight going into threads.

Printing Guidelines:

The printing orientation is as provided in the file. The print has been designed to be “3 wall perimeters” in wall thickness. Printed at a layout height of 0.2 mm. It doesn't need printing supports. Use the default 15% infill. This part has been designed with a tolerance of 0.25 mm. Your printer will need to be able to bridge gaps of up to 30 mm for some designs.

This object is part of Multiboard, a FREE "all in one" organization system with 700+ parts, that combines pegboard holes, honeycomb snaps, Gridfinity like bins, threads, brakes, and much more.

This thing broke the second time I tried to use it. The threading is a little weak. K2_Kevin has a much beefier and imho much better solution to this.

Sorry to hear that. This is specifically designed for the DS snaps. However, after using it for about 100ish pull outs I found tha the thread dulled out too. I have a feeling the answer is not a thread-based tool. I'll keep refining and seee what it goes. I did try K2_Kevin design and it does not work at all for the DS snaps and then I found that my filament must have work layer adhesion as for me it the print orientation just sheerd the thread off.

My tenet is that a tool should generally be made of harder material than the substance it's working on. Hence, I made my removal tool with generic PETG, and printed it with 4 walls. It seems pretty durable, but YMMV.

Same here, the threading seems to be weak. I've removed 2 DS snaps and the threading is already dulled out...
