Tsunami Dragon Crashes Into Town
As always, I'm experimenting with different techniques and aesthetics with the latest set of models. This Tsunami Dragon reflects my experiments with giving these dragons a bit more facial character.

I hadn't decided on a theme for this dragon until I started playing with the structure and flow of the back of the head. It started to remind me of the winter dragons from last year, so I decided to try out the nature-inspired theme again.
As I shaped the horns on the head and how they flow into the protrusions of each segment, I decided that a powerful, water-based theme would be a good inspiration.
Tsunami Dragon is available as both an STL and a Bambu Multicolor 3MF.
Because the secondary color (light blue in the photos) streaks through the primary color (dark blue) as a separate mesh, it's both easy to paint in Bambu Studio AND gives a little bit of extra heft to this model.
While I was uncertain at first about the extra filament used for these accents, I've decided that additional weight of the dragon makes it feel much more life-like.
Next Model:
The next dragon I have in the works is another experiment with giving these models a bit more character (though with a different type of detail). Assuming that multi-color tests go as planned, this next model should be ready this Friday.
Have a great week!
