How this got 27 likes in like 2 days and how come all the comments are the same. Genuinely sorry if ur not but botting isn’t a very fun way of winning a competition.
I'm one of the ones that voted for bwalker3d17 and I'm not a bot. I know many of the others. He has a large circle of family and friends that love and support him and his creativity. Once we found out about the competition, we all came out to support our friend.
We all know you have just made a bunch of email accounts just to win, tbh there are way more creative designs that should be winning rn rather than urs.
Stop trying to defend urself. Btw not jealous, I didn’t even submit a design so I have no reason to. But to feel sorry for the peoples designs that are actually good and ur just rigging the votes just for $200
OMG soo cuteee if I had those colours in my collection I would print this. From an angry fox to terrified beaver 🤣. Everything is pretty much perfect, even the background.
6x6 Inspired by desert mirages & stained glass, all the color filament switching almost broke my printer but I'm super happy with how it turned out, this was really fun and apologies for the late submission, thank you!
This was my take on this challenge, fyi the ones with no text above is the original one I came up with and the ones with text above have had all the pieces flipped 180 degrees allowing for an inverted effect. This was a really fun challenge and has given me a project to do and also some content for my new YouTube channel (i'll post when the comp ends).
Thanks for the comp Devin (and Thangs) and good luck everyone👍
and sub to Make Anything.
This is my second design for this comp. Currently, I am holiday so I only have the pieces I used for the first designs to work with but I still love this design as it changes the direction the arrows are pointing when it is twisted.
that's a really cool idea. Did you use embedded magnets on each piece? I've been trying to figure out a use for the open space while the grid is open, and a game board is a great idea.
I've made an Auxetic Pattern simulator for anyone participating in it.
Feel free to use too, if you model in Rhino.

Do you have a video or text which shows how to use your script?
I've downloaded Rhino (90 day demo), installed your script and Linketix, but at the end I didn't understand how to use your script :D
I made it extra complicated because I wanted to make the base multi colored... for that I created a custom modifier model that required quite some iteration. It overlaps the base model precisely and in a way that leaves the hinges perfectly in tact. Edit: I just shared this modifier object here on Thangs if you want to print it this way, too.
This has been a ton of fun!!! Thanks a lot for this creation, Devin!
I've played around making multi colored tiles but decided that going with the standard dual color and complete abscence of custom tile segments is my favourite... because it allows to really play around and change patterns instead of one dedicated one. After many designs I chose this swirly pattern because it fits the rotational motion of the auxetic mechanic and because I love the contrast of the resulting counter pattern. :)
This is my first contest! I really like purple because it is my favorite color and my dad helped me with the printing. It was a lot of fun to try rearranging the pieces until I was happy with my design. Thank you!

I voted too. Not a bot but a family member who wants to support someone we love. Gratitude and kindness is becoming. Jealousy isn’t.

This is my take on Midwest Barn Quilts. I’m really happy with it! Hope you like it.
Way to go son 👍

I like how it looks good both ways, looking through others some only really look good one way.
Coil
Good luck!!
I like the rainbow colors!!!

I like this one, the second photo reminds me of an android tablet wallpaper that I had as a kid for some reason.
thought it was pretty cool that even with all the pieces flipped you can still see the same outline of the shapes! Fun little things to mess with!
Awesome stuff! And thanks for the contest.

Here is my heart design! I think the geometric shape it makes in its alternative view is really cool. Enjoy!

We just picked up a PEY build plate and this was the perfect project to see the prismatic effect the plate gives the print.
tried to show it in close up photo, but it really shines while the grid is moving.
Woo-hoo B!_
Nice work, Brandon! Super creative!
also great print BW
Ain't no way this dudes calling me a bot
Bot
Well done B
OMG! These are SO MUCH fun to print! Thanks, Dev!
