I am a HUGE FAN, and for my birthday (which was not long ago ) I got a 3d printer the FLASHFORGE creator pro, is it a used one, but it has had some problems and most have been with your products like the springo it just turned into a hard cylinder that I can’t turn into the springo and yesterday I started the auxetic cube 18mm 10x10 and I had to start over many times because the front left and right edges were messing up like falling of the build plate and curling, and finally it was working…….but there was the curling on the same places but not that much, but then it was almost finished at like 84% it stopped almost if it was finished but it said S.D. Card read error, which had happened before but it was almost finished…. Ahhh 😤😡but I thought it might be still useable
Because it might just be the finishing touches that I missed but no it was still on the last conecting part and now it is just a big block
With all that stringing and the surface finish, it doesn't look like your printer is tuned well enough to try and print something this intricate. With print in place hinges, any curling on edges will cause the hinges to fuse. When you have a print with like 200 hinges that all have to break free at once, any extra resistance x 200 hinges is going to make it extremely hard to get it working. Definitely wouldn't recommend this as a first print.
Hey, congrats on the new printer! To be honest, this is a pretty advanced print and it requires a really well-tuned printer. From your photos it just looks like the extrusion is just not perfect enough to keep the hinges moving. Maybe you can try with one of the smaller versions (3x3?) and you can scale it up to be easier to print.
