I used the PrusaSlicer - Paint on Fuzzy Skin feature to add the texture to the outer surfaces, yet maintain a flat surface everywhere else. The pink nose and toes are temporary test prints, I thought I had orange filament but I did not. So that's on order. Though the pink is cute!
I used Gyroid as the infill pattern.
Yay! I was just thinking how I would love to see y'all do a cat version. I just became member and am starting my first print. Can't wait to see it since the pictures are adorable!!!
Love this little guy. Everything printed as it should with great directions for everything except the eyes. When I loaded the .stl file into Creality Print it came in standing on end and each eye angled about 3 degrees inward. This made it impossible to print in two colors on a single color printer. So I imported it into TinkerCad and adjusted it so I could pause the print to change the filament from black to white and continue printing so I could get the two colored eyes. It worked but not sure why everything else was thought out so well and then the eyes did not follow the pattern. Anyway, it all worked out and my daughter was very excited to receive her penguin ice cream holder. Of course I gave it to her with a pint of Ben and Jerry's Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Ice Cream . . . YUM !!
yes, we recently updated it to have snapfit feet (same as the owl)
what did not work for you?
there should be markings telling which is left and which is right
Ok, it doesn't get much easier than this. Ordered, downloaded, uploaded to Bambu Slicer, sliced and hit print. Came out perfect! No mods, no enhancements, it just worked! And it looks perfect! Though this one is straight up black, white, and orange, I'm ordering up the owl, too, because SHE INCLUDED THE COLORS NEEDED! Finally having the fun I wanted with my printer without having to mess with everything to make it look like it should. THANK YOU! So very grateful!
Hey 'LeHa' thank you for the design, have aquired a few, just saw the Owl.. it's on my list. Just wanted to leave a BambuLab Slicer Recommendation, to improve the top surface ring finishing, I have added Ironing:
-Top Surface
-Rectilinear
-60mm/s speed
-20% flow
-0.15mm line spacing
-0.21mm inset
I used the Prusa Slicer - Paint on Fuzzy Skin feature to create one of these and it turned out very nicely. I also created the smooth skin version, which looks great too. I just prefer the fuzzy skin end result a bit more. Personal opinion only.
Is anyone else having this issue? It seems to fail roughly around the same area, and I've tried to print 3 or 4 times so far. I've managed to have two successes, and I've made other prints without issues, so I'm not sure what is going on..
Thank you for this magnificent model.
I confirm that there was indeed a problem with the depth of the spoon. I re-downloaded the file and go to reprint it.
I would have appreciated a file of the entire model to make it with my AMS in one piece.
Thank you and keep going.
we can also provide a multicolor model, but i figured, it would take too much time and waste, since it needs a lot of filament swaps.
Let me know, we can also upload the multicolor version :)
Hi,
I've added 0_pingu_wDrawer_MultiColor.3mf, but i did not testprint it, since i dont have the capacity right now, so use it at your own risk.
all the best
I had downloaded this file back in August and it says on Thangs that it hasn't been updated for the past six months. Can someone guarantee if the multicolor file is there? I'd hate to waste a download for the month for a design that I already have a not get multi-color file.
Love the model! For the eyes, I need a printer which can do multicolor prints, or am I missing something here? That's really unfortunate, but otherwise I love your work, keep it up!
howdy,
I've added a 5_ping_black_eyes_RAISED.stl for SingleColor Printers as well, where the white part is raised, so you can do a manual layerchange at 4.6mm (layer23) to white filament
we'll add a version of the eyes, where the pupils are raised, so you can do a manual filament swap for the last layers, and have also a two coloured eye, if you like.
Hi! Am in love with your stuff. Need the penguin, the corgi, possibly the polar bear...
but, I was wondering. I'm a big fan of thr 3 arches McFlurry and was wondering if there is a way to resize this to fit a McFlurry cup into it? same question for the other models.
Looking forward to your reply. thank you in advance!!
can you tell me the exact dimensions of the mcflurry? so diameter + height, plus if its straight or tapered? if its tapered, i'd need top and bottom diameter.
I just want to add on this model the feet would be much easier to assemble if they clicked in place! Super glue works but they can fall off is dropped or bumped just right!! Thank you!! Just offering suggestions! :)
Hello, love the designs, but with Pebbles, is the white face plate supposed to fill in all corners of the space of the mug? I didn't change any settings from the 3mf files for white belly and the mug and it either rocks on from side to side or doesn't fit inside space for it. I'm printing on a Bambu Lab P1S.
i am at a loss on the eyes i load the files into my Snapmaker with the dual printer head and the file only shows up as one color for the eyes when i am using either file provided. i tried to get bambu labs because of the files provided but they do not have snapmaker as a printer option so i am not able to use those pre made files either and tips would be awesome. I think i may have figured it out for others stuck the maker recomende prusa slicer as a good option for the files and they did open for me in thete in multi color. I saw the mentioned in the coments for another print they have. I would love to see it in the note file somewhere.
regarding the multicolor Eyes - you need to use Bambustudio or Orcaslicer, so they show up proper.
tbh. i am annoyed that 3mf file is not interchangeable between Slicers...
I love these and have been printing them for friends and family like crazy. My only complaint with this model is the feet fall off frequently because they don't have a good attachment point. I'm testing out some stronger adhesive but I've been using Gorilla Glue Super Glue which I use on all of my other prints and this just won't hold. Something to keep in mind for future models like this.
Hi,
thanks for the input, yes i agree, the feet are a weakpoint (take a look at our latest model the owl) there we fixed the feet, with a better solution. i plan on updating the penguin as well :)
Hi. I ran into an issue with the print. When I print the body (white part only) my printer stops at 6% and refuses to continue. I cannot find anything wrong with the slice or my printer? Do you have any idea what can cause this? Best regards, Dominique
Hi. I bought Pebbles and Cuddles with the charge 8$ each. But now I am not clear on what's the Licensing I have. No plans to mass produce this but the kid wants to sell these at school.
Any chance we can get these in a size to hold a pop can, with no spoon holes? My kids want one but they are not fond of ice cream. I tried just sizing it down but the inside shape isn't straight for the pop can.
You're right about the interior shape! We probably won't remake Pebbles for cans since it would need a complete redesign.
But a dedicated soda can holder series could be fun in the future , maybe with totally different characters designed specifically for cans! 🥤
Thanks for the suggestion!
What is a good orientation to print out the white body with orange feet? I add supports and the right Side still comes out a little off for some reason.
I think with the feet you should make a have about more than a 1.75mm dial ment so you could just snip of some filament then stick it in the foot then stick the other end into the foot spot
LOVE this! One suggestion: make the feet have a "snap" component, even just to line it up and hold in place while glue dries. We're selling a bunch of these but the feet are becoming a real hassle to position and glue as they are hard to keep in position while glue dries.
i really tried to come up with a snapfit mechanism for the feet, but i could not figure something out, which didnt make the white part much smaller in firstlayer surface.
but if you have a multicolor capable printer, use 2_pingu_white_belly_wFeet_multicolor.3mf
this prints the belly with the feet together, and barely takes longer than just printing the belly
I can't figure out how to print the two colored eyes. When I load the file into Creality Print the two eyes present vertically on the bed and turned slightly inward toward each other so one cannot rotate them 90 degrees to get them to lie flat because of that cocked angle. In order to print in black and then pause to switch to white the eyes need to be situated flat on the bed with the white pupils facing up, That is not how mine loads and with the cocked angle one cannot get both to lie flat.
I really love the design but I think there is one problem in the file "1_pingu_noDrawer_Mainbody.3mf" as it says in the file name it does not have the drawer, but is it on purpose that it also does not have the full deep for the spoon holder holes? I just printed it and after 5 hours I recognized that those holes are only like 2cm deep and kinda useless :(
i just checked the file, and you are totally right, the spoon hole is not deep enough. something went wrong with the voxel merge.
we will update the file in the next hour.
please send us an email hello@lehadesign.at, i'd like to offer you something for your wasted filament.
this is totally our fault, and shoulnt have happened. sorry!

Do you still have that video up? Couldn't find it in your library.
Would love to see more like this and Ferdinand. Maybe a raccoon, Red Panda or Cat :)
thank you for your input :)
a Cat is very high on the list
Red Panda!! Is an AWESOME IDEA!!! @LeHa if you need inspiration check the animation movie "Turning Red" (2022)
Yay! I was just thinking how I would love to see y'all do a cat version. I just became member and am starting my first print. Can't wait to see it since the pictures are adorable!!!
Hi thanks for letting me know. yes the raised_eyes were not correctly oriented. I fixed this, but it seems like you downloaded it before.
for the future, you can split stls files in the slicer as well, rightclick onto it, and select split into objects.
thanks for the picture <3
Thanks for this beautiful design, question , did you try the feet ? because they dont fit correctly
yes, we recently updated it to have snapfit feet (same as the owl) what did not work for you? there should be markings telling which is left and which is right

would you mind sharing a picture :)
I to had this problem but on the handle im reprinting with my other printer now to see if maybe its just my ender having problems from being old
Is anyone else having this issue? It seems to fail roughly around the same area, and I've tried to print 3 or 4 times so far. I've managed to have two successes, and I've made other prints without issues, so I'm not sure what is going on..
it seems like a layershift, if i am not wrong? or did it break afterwards?
I never had one fail ( and i've printed hundreds of them)
Thank you for this magnificent model. I confirm that there was indeed a problem with the depth of the spoon. I re-downloaded the file and go to reprint it. I would have appreciated a file of the entire model to make it with my AMS in one piece. Thank you and keep going.
Hi,
we can also provide a multicolor model, but i figured, it would take too much time and waste, since it needs a lot of filament swaps. Let me know, we can also upload the multicolor version :)
Hi, If it's possible, yes, I have the opportunity to do it without waste. That would be wonderful for me. Thank you so much.
do you need the drawer, or the version without the drawer?
without the drawer please
hi i updated the files: 5_pingu_noDrawer_MultiColor.3mf
Is it possible to get this with the drawer? I also have an AMS and would prefer the snack drawer.
you should be able to do this with 2_pingu_white_belly_wFeet_wPeak_wEyes_multicolor.3mf+1_pingu_wDrawer_Mainbody.3mf
there you just need to glue in the white part hope this helps
Thanks but I can't find the file in the ZIP
you are right, it did not sucessfully upload, i renamed it to 0_pingu_noDrawer_MultiColor.3mf
can you please download again and check ? thanks!
It's perfect, thank you very much for the work I asked you to do.
Would it be possible to get a multicolor all in one file with the drawer included? Please
Have you tried it out? I'm about to YOLO and give it a whirl.

With membership can we use your stock photos to display on website to sell?
yes, on the pro-membership, you get access to our media
Is there a right hand version of this model?
https://www.youtube.com/shorts/C1j8agAe400 you can mirror it in the slicer :) if you need help, let me know (hello@lehadesign.at)

Used the readme for the body, and print time is showing 16 hours when it says it should be about 5 hours.
As a checklist, I did the following in Bambu Studio:
It was 1.5 days before mods. Why is my print time so long?
which printer and filament did you select?

Hi, we finally found the time, and updated the model :) it has now the same style of connection like the owl has
thank you very much! yes this is very high on our todo list, to add the same snap fit as we did with the owl :)

could you print the rest successfully ? only the white belly is not printing proper?
which printer are you using? did you use the 3mf or STL file?
all the best Christoph

the whitebody with orange feet (combined into one) can be printed standing without supports
I think with the feet you should make a have about more than a 1.75mm dial ment so you could just snip of some filament then stick it in the foot then stick the other end into the foot spot
do you mean, like a tiny dowel?

Hello, I have become your Pro member. How can I obtain the relevant pictures and video materials of the model?
i've written a short how to access the photos: https://than.gs/p/249512

hi, i've updated the no_drawer files. Sorry for the mistake :(
Thank you :)
i am so sorry :(
i just checked the file, and you are totally right, the spoon hole is not deep enough. something went wrong with the voxel merge.
we will update the file in the next hour.

yes, if you join our Pro Tier, you'll be able to access our media material
