Printed on the Elegoo Centauri Carbon. I had some issue finding the right rubber bands, either the brain sat too high or low but all good now!
I had a forest elf green that I used for the main part and I love the effect of it.
hi again.
I have now drilled 2 small holes and put an aluminum pin in each hole, it works fine, as you can see they fit in the crack in the brain. So if you made 2 small holes when printing, and then used 2 pieces of filment, I think it would be fine
Brain and Tongue printed with 0.08mm Layer height.
I coated the tongue and funnel with food-safe varnish for a more hygienic environment for the snacks.
Colors I used:
Black | Violet | Light Pink | Magenta | White. Filament from esun PLA+HS
I used the pictured rubber bands for the rebound action of the brain. Not sure exactly how to measure rubber bands so I did my best. I used three on each side and they work perfectly!
I love my zombie pug so much, I printed the nutcracker too! I love the update with the candy chute! I was wondering if you were going to update, or possibly provide some kind of additional hook to keep the brain from sliding off when the funnel is getting empty. It looks like there may be a way to hook an additional bit where the candy goes in, once the rubber bands are in place. That way, the additional piece would be just a small addition, and you wouldn't have to reprint anything big.
Fantastic design! This is one of those prints that, for me at least, needs to be done in the exact colors that the creator intended. As such, I ordered the colors directly from Bambu. Model prints and works fantastic, as others have stated, it would be great if there was a way to prevent the brain from coming up too high and sliding off.
i'll look into how to get a reliable endstop in place, so the brain cant go up too much.
it works best with rubberbands with 40mm diameter. as last resort, you can tie a knot into the rubberband so its shorter :)
super design, love it.
but have a small suggestions for improvement, as some have mentioned earlier, the brain sometimes comes over the top of the edge on the head. and can slide off. This could be fixed by making a small edge under the brain so that it fits into the bowl, that way it can't slip off anymore. It also depends on what you fill the bowl with, as the weight of the candy varies, and if you use Skittles instead of M&Ms, then the brain will definitely stick up once the level gets low.
thank you for taking the time and leaving the comment. I have a look, how we can prevent the funnel from going up too much, so the brain wont slide off. i dont want to introduce another part, so a hinge or a compliant spring wich limts the funnel from going up further would be great!
Super print very clean and easy to assemble my only complaint is the rubber bands. I only had few on hand and I may just need to buy new rubber bands but what I have seen is that most of the time the Brain comes up fine other times it doesn't. If you put to much tightness on the rubber bands then the brain goes above the inside and will slide off. Suggestion would be to put something at the top that will stop brain from coming out when the bands are tight. Still well worth the print super design, keep it up.
We have the same issue with the brain either popping off, or doesn't come up. Needs end stop. Also, becareful because the portion where the rubber bands connect to the dogs head, break off easy. Its right at the top where the brain connects. That is a very weak point and while attaching the rubber bands, you can snap it off. I hope they fix/reinforce this. https://i.postimg.cc/J4rVdvSs/Creeper-Brain.png
we use 2 rubber bands per side, wich are 40mm / 1.5" in diameter. (or arround 60mm long, if you fold it flat)
but yeah a postive endstop for the brain/funnel would be great, so it doesnt depend on the rubber band length
Is there a way to download this as separate pieces or a different file type? I’m using a Flash Forge Adventurer with the Flash Forge software but my slicing software doesnt read the project files.
The STL Files are also included as a ZIP File.
But maybe your Slicer doesnt support Multi-Plate-Layout (Prusa Slicer doesnt for Instance) here's how to get arround this: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/GORm_1DJRxM
I had downloaded it on my phone and sent it to my laptop so I hadn’t noticed the STLs!! But it came out beautifully!!! And works soooooo smoothly! Absolutely love this, just in time for Halloween!
super wyszło, ale wprowadziłbym 2 poprawki. 1. Mózg na zawiasie powinien sie otwierać. 2. zamiast gumek drukowana sprężyna wewnątrz :) czekam na kolejne wersje tego modelu. może czaszka? dynia? czaszko dynia? czarownica? wilkołak?
we tested them with regualr m&ms as well, they work as well, but you need to do short pokes, otherwise the tongue will overflow.
i am afraid scaling down would not work properly, since the tongue is specifically desinged for this size, and i am not sure, it it still works proper when scaled down.
where do you excactly face issues? layer adhesion? with the white parts or black parts?
did you clean your buildplate with warm soapy water and let it dry completely?

Pokemon fans neeed a gengar version of this!!
can you name the colours?

WOW I LOVE the color 😍😍 thanks for sharing!
thanks for the input ! i look into it
I love this! I'd also love a non-holiday themed one!
This is amazing. My husband ask for it for his office desk. Maybe a panda would be cute in normal way not creeper kind.
Oh I'd also love a panda version for the non holiday times!
This is amazing! I'd love to see a little bat friend for him. Or a shiba inu!

thank you very much. yeah i know this issue, someone in the comments here had a fix with tiny dowels to keep the brain from sliding off.
for the nutcracker we have this solution https://www.youtube.com/shorts/8JNs93n3tnA
eventually i want to bring this back to the pug as well, but this means reprinting the whole head and the funnel
Since I have both, I might try to make a little piece that would fix it. If I ever come up with something that is repeatable, I'll share for sure!

It is amazing work! Love you guys! Greetings from Mexico—my family is amazed by this masterpiece. I look forward to your next creation.
This is such a great candy dispenser. I hope you make more like the ice buddies

Amazing, I printed in PETG love them.
Would share a picture but platform won't allow.
PLease still do an Ice cream pint holder of a pug! I've had them for over 15 years... love my little guys

If one were to just use this for regular sized M&Ms, to what percentage could this be scaled down to?
we tested them with regualr m&ms as well, they work as well, but you need to do short pokes, otherwise the tongue will overflow.
i am afraid scaling down would not work properly, since the tongue is specifically desinged for this size, and i am not sure, it it still works proper when scaled down.
if you want to try i'd start with 75% scale
I'm having a really hard time printing the eyes to the pug in stl any suggestions?
Hi,
where do you excactly face issues? layer adhesion? with the white parts or black parts? did you clean your buildplate with warm soapy water and let it dry completely?
I also am using a brand new plate, so there is no build up yet
The round piece works perfectly, but the "X" doesn't seem to want to get close enough to the plate to lay.
the X has a notch cutout, and can only be inserted in one postion, have a look at the underside. i hope this helps
Be nice to have a funnel designed for smaller candy (regular m&m's)
it's for all kinds of candy! for smaller candy like regular m&ms just push the brain quicker for the perfect amount
Instructions on rubber band placement please mine isn’t working
we added the instructions to both the description and the pictures, please check the listing again 🫶🏼
