BOUTIQUE + FLEXI Dragon Shoulder Puppet EARLY ACCESS
Hey everyone!
I'm super excited to release the dragon that you've all been asking for since the finger puppet came out-- The shoulder puppet!
Learning more from y'alls feedback of the last puppet, this one has some new improvements! (Which will soon be applied to the finger puppet ASAP as well!)
This guy is SUPER sturdy once assembled with the hinge pins and can take way more of a beating than the old attachment designs.
In addition to that, if you don't want to hassle with assembly at all, this guys has a PRINT IN PLACE version too! So all you have to do is feed the line through his neck and body to bring him to life! Although I'm particularly in love with the larger dragons you can get by utilizing the assembly version!
There are a few different options for however you and your customers want to wear these guys! The dragon harness is included here, which has a flared slot that you can slide into the notch in the bottom of your dragon for a super secure hold!
I've attached a video of how to add holes for magnets in your slicer for anyone who wants to attach them to yourself with magnets instead. And instead of adding the magnet holes myself, this way y'all can add them wherever you'd like, with whatever magnets you have available and without worrying about scaling changing the magnet sizes!
I also think gluing or adhering Velcro on the bottom of this dragon would be another awesome way to attach him to you!
Print recs:
2-3 walls
5-15% infill
No supports
Feel free to size up or down! Tested between 60 and 160% scale (A lot of size variety with this guy which is super fun!)
Print 4 hinge pins with dragon.
I used fishing line and a small bead (a 3D printed version is included if needed) at the end to weave through the head and down the chest, there's a channel at the top of each neck segment to feed the line through.
The harness is a snug fit and depending on what filament you use, may need to scale up 1-4% or so (I.E silks expand more than basic PLA)
Filaments used are Bambu Arctic Whisper Gradient, D3D Black, Amolen Tri red/yellow/blue, Bambu dual green/blue, with additional hand painted details.

I hope y'all like it as much as I do! I have so many more puppets planned for y'all!
Thanks so much for all your support <3
