New release: Mark 2 Hand Grenade Cryptex
A cryptex is a portable, puzzle-like container, typically cylindrical, that stores a secret message or items behind a combination lock.
This cryptex looks like a Mark 2 hand grenade, with four numbered dials that make up the main shell of the grenade. Similar to my other cryptex on MakerWorld, it has ratcheting encoding rings that can be used to set any 4-digit passcode you want! And turning the dials is super satisfying thanks to the ratchet!
There are three different versions of the dials you can print:
- Plain — No numbers at all if you want to paint them yourself
- Inset numbers — The numbers are inset holes on the dial
- Embedded numbers — The numbers are embedded and can be painted in the slicer
If you add a small spring to the fuse, you can make the safety lever, "spoon", to pop off when the pin is pulled, just like in a real grenade!
